It’s saddening to once again report that another young physique competitor has passed away. I’m at a loss for words as Daniel Alexander is the 3rdyoung competitor to die in little less than 4 weeks. Keep in mind, this does not include the older more experienced competitors or the individuals we don’t hear about which would make that number a lot higher. Not sure what they’re doing or what extremes are being taken, but it’s really not worth it. If you feel like you have to “up your game” by taking some extra “enhancements” then you’ve probably reached your genetic potential. Have the strength and mental fortitude to move on and quench your competitive thirsts in other areas. That’s the true telling of a man and not the size of your biceps or how much you can bench. And if you have the mindset of, “I’d rather live a life looking like a God and die young than die old and weak”, as far as I understand it, you WILL regret it as you’re laying there on your death bed thinking about how much more you’d like to do still and the people you’re about to hurt with your loss. At the end of the day it’s your choice…but choose wisely.

In this case Daniel Alexander won’t get to experience his pro debut. The 2017 Mr. USA Middleweight Champion was about to appear in his pro debut at the Legion Sport Fest in the 212 division on November 9th. Little is known as to the cause of death, but it has been confirmed by his coach Dave Kalick.

Our sincerest condolences go out to Daniel’s family and friends.
